The ICMA was founded in 1969 and is headquartered in Zurich, Switzerland.
ICMA currently (2018) has 540 members located in over 60 countries. These include security issuers from public and private sectors, financial intermediaries, asset managers and other investors, capital market infrastructure providers, central banks, law firms and others worldwide.
