The Luxembourgish Franc was the official currency of Luxembourg before the country adopted the Euro. It was in use from 1854 to 2002.
The Luxembourgish Franc was introduced in 1854 as the currency of the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg. It was replaced by the Euro on January 1, 2002, when Luxembourg, along with several other European countries, adopted the common currency.
